Micah 6:8

This verse is written on the walls of this compound.  Not just once, several times.

"He has shown you, O mortal, what is good.  And what does the Lord require of you?  To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God."

That is what this children's home stands for.

These children are not orphans.  Most of them are here because of neglect, mostly unintentional.  Their family situations were as such that their parents just could not care for them, many coming in malnourished.

So God placed them here.  This is not an orphanage.  None of this children are adoptable.  The house parents are their legal guardians.  They receive three balanced meals a day and are sent to the best Christian schools in the area.

"Train up a child in the way he should go, even when he is old he will not turn from it."

    -Proverbs  22:6

This is exactly what is happening at this home.  These children are sealed for the Lord.  They will be movers and shakers in this country and beyond.  God has redeemed them from their desperate situations and continues to pour out His blessing on this place daily.

And because of that, the devil is not happy.  Ever since we got here, we have sensed a spirit of lethargy on this place.  We felt it ourselves and observed it in the kids and everyone who worked here.  We have been praying against it while we have been here, joining in the band of angels that is continually fighting for this place.

The devil comes to steal, kill, and destroy.  He tries to sneak in and corrupt this place with lethargy, violence, and sexual immorality.  The kids hit each other; they don't listen to authority very well; they steal things from the house supply closets; they have no motivation to learn or do their homework.  The devil's schemes are so evident here.

But this place belongs to God.  The devil has no place here.  He can try all he wants, but these children belong to God.  The walls inscribed with Micah 6:8 stand as a hedge of protection from the physical threats in the environment, but I know that bands of angels have set up watch towers on the wall are constantly fighting for this place against the schemes of the devil.  Darkness will not prevail.

Please join me in praying for this ministry here in Honduras.
They are looking to expand their staff.  They currently have 12 nannies that help feed and take care of the children, 1 tutor that helps all the school-aged kids do their homework every day with the help of two local tutors, and a handy man.  They are hoping to bring in an activities director to help entertain the children and teach them discipline and character development.  They also hope to bring in a teacher [or two]  to one day home school the children in house since the education systems are lacking in some areas.

The home also owns a 38 acre farm down the road that they hope to use to fund this ministry.  This year, they had a lychee harvest, but lost nearly 80% of it.  They also have fields of palm, but it will be a few years before they produce.  They hope to one day be self-sustaining and not have to rely on support from the States.  They have two local families living on the farm to take care of it, but they are not fully educated and are not optimizing the resources.

This is a great ministry that could have a huge impact on this country.
God is fighting for this place.
We will be having a 24-hour worship and prayer vigil starting Sunday night at 9pm [11pm EST].

Will you consider joining us during this time to fight for this place and what it stands for?
