I have finally sent out the first of the support letters!  It was a tough task, but God helped me through it all along and I am so thankful for that!  If you have come across my blog without receiving a support letter, below is a copy of it to help you better understand what it is exactly that I will be doing and how I got here.  Further down, there is an explanation of how you can partner with me in this ministry.  I thank God for the people in my life that support me in any and every way possible!

—————————————————————

I hope this post finds you in good spirits!  I wanted to write you to let you know about some new things that are going on in my life.  Last December, I attended a regional Campus Crusade for Christ [Cru] conference in Baltimore.  While attending this conference, God really burdened my heart to be carrying out the Great Commission that Jesus gave to the disciples:  “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.  And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” [Matthew 28:19-20].  Since then, I have been praying about taking time after graduation to devote to full-time missions.  God is surely faithful (1 Thessalonians 5: 24) and has confirmed my prayers and presented me with a great opportunity to make this a reality.

I will be serving as a missionary through an organization called Adventures in Missions, in their World Race program.   The World Race is an eleven-month Christian mission trip to eleven different countries around the world. Through adventure, ministry, community, and self discovery, we as World Racers hope to develop broken hearts that will propel our hands to act for God’s kingdom.  On the World Race, my team and I will serve in partnership with churches and ministries in local communities to preach the Gospel, plant churches, work in orphanages, minister to women and children who are trapped in prostitution as a result of human trafficking, and bring the restoration and hope of the Father’s love to many tribes and nations.

I have already taken the first step of faith by committing to this ministry and am so grateful for this opportunity that God has presented to me!  I have every confidence that He will provide for my needs, for it says in Philippians 4:19:  “And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.”   I pray that He will do that through you, whether that is through prayer or finances.  I am writing to you to ask if you would consider partnering with me in this ministry.
My goal is to raise $15,500 in order to go on the World Race, which covers all of my expenses while on the field.  However, there are also costs for vaccinations, living necessities (tent, back pack, sleeping bag, mess kit, etc), spending money (for replacing clothes/toiletries on the trip as well as for internet access) and travel to and from training camp.  My final target is to raise $20,000.  If you would like to contribute to my trip, there are multiple ways to do so.  Please see below for further instruction on how to donate financially.

I am so excited to see what God will do in my life through both the preparation for this trip and the actual trip.  I pray that He would also move in the lives of those I will be encountering, as well as those who will be supporting me while I’m away, through finances and most importantly, prayer.  Even if you cannot provide money at this time, I covet your prayers over the fundraising, travel, and everything pertaining to this trip!  I want to thank you in advance for anything you can give.  May God bless you as you prayerfully consider partnering with me in this ministry.

Thank you for considering partnering with me financially!

There are many different ways you can contribute finances to this trip.  First, is a donation to Adventures in Missions that would go towards the $15,500 that will cover my costs out in the field.  This type of support can be given as a one-time gift or as a monthly donation, wherein you choose the amount and beginning and end date.  This donation can be made via check, credit card or bank draft.  However, with credit card and bank draft donation, a small fee (5% and 3% respectively) is taken out of your donation.  With a check, I would receive 100% of your donation.

If you would like to donate by check:
Make checks payable to 'Adventures in Missions.'  You will need a donation card to make sure it gets credited to my account.  You can either email me to have one sent to you, or you can send your check to me and I will gladly fill out the donation card with your information.  The response card provides AIM with the information necessary to send you a receipt for your donation.

If you would like to donate online using a credit card or bank draft:
Just click the “Support Me” link in the upper left side of my home page and complete your donation as instructed.

If you would like to donate towards the extra costs beyond the $15,500:
You can send a check to me at my address below.  If you choose to donate to me directly, I will be sure to let you know exactly what your money goes towards.  Things that need to be covered for are vaccinations, living supplies, spending money while out on the field for necessities and internet, travel to and from training camp and launch, etc.

Thanks again, and God bless!
