I just wanted to update all of you on how preparation and support raising have been going for the trip! I am so excited about what God has in store and I am so grateful to each one of you for standing with me as I prepare to step out on this adventure that God has put in my life!
First of all, I want to thank everyone who has already agreed to support me, both in prayer and financially. My account currently stands at $617.50 of the total $7,300 that I need for the trip. That amount has come in in just three weeks, and I am praising the Lord for His faithfulness!
Second, here are some ways you can help: I will be holding a yard sale on Saturday, October 2nd at Emmanuel Church in Macon, GA. I still need a lot of donations of stuff for the yard sale, so if any of you have stuff to donate please contact me! My e-mail address is [email protected]. Also, if you live in the Macon area, please come out to Emmanuel Church on October 2nd and support me!
I am also selling two different types of bracelets as a fundraiser – the first type is a turquoise silicone “awareness” bracelet that has the word “PRAY” printed in the 4 languages of the countries that I will be traveling to (Hindi, Thai, Khmer and English). These will be $3 per bracelet. The second type is a wooden bead bracelet made by women who have been rescued out of sexual slavery. I will be selling these bracelets for $10 a piece ($7 covers the cost of the bracelet and all of the proceeds from that $7 go directly to India to provide English-Medium education for a Dalit child in order to break the cycle of poverty and oppression – the other $3 will go toward my World Race fund). I will also be using my photography as a fundraiser, and I will be doing $40 photo shoots – the $40 includes a 1 hour session and a cd with all of the photographs and all of the proceeds will go towards my World Race. So if you are considering booking a photographer in the near future for engagement, family portraits or senior portraits, please consider contacting me.
