We all knew that the day would come when B Squad would undergo significant changes. At training camp, we were told that we would see some of the leaders among us raised up to serve as squad leaders over us, which would naturally entail team changes in order to fill the gaps. As a result, the New Year found us all on a beach in Nicaragua, waiting to find out our new teams and who were our new squad leaders.

My former team leader, Thomas, was asked to step up as squad leader. We are all so proud of him and have complete confidence in his ability to guide and lead us in the coming eight months. Joining him as squad leader are two other individuals, who all together make up an incredible leadership team that we are honored and blessed to have.

Consequently, all of B Squad has been placed into new teams as we transition into our four months in Asia. Starting in Thailand, our new teams will be living together, doing ministry together, and striving to live in community with one another and the Lord as we go out to the nations.

My new team has chosen to call ourselves Siloam, which comes from John 9. The name Siloam means “Sent” and is a pool of water where Jesus sent the blind beggar to wash and be healed. There are so many reasons why I feel that this name fits our new team. I love the meaning of the name, the fact that is was a pool of healing water, that the Word says that Jesus is Living Water, and that Jesus healed a blind man so that “the power of God could be seen in him (John 9:3).” I am waiting expectantly to experience great things with this team!

Make sure to check out the blogs of all my new teammates! Their photos and links are on the left hand side of the page. We are so excited and eager to see what the Lord has for us in ministry in Thailand!
