So… this month has been absolutely nuts in my life, and I am realizing that His timing is perfect and His mercy is more than I feel that I deserve. I know that when I look back on month two of my world race years from now, I will consider it a “stone of remembrance” in my life. I cannot express how good the Lord is and how patient He is and how much He is teaching me, so I will just get on with the top ten list for this month… Enjoy!
1-Teh Tarik is sooooo good
2-In KL, you can meet a Chinese, Indian, and Malay person all in 5 minutes
3-Every beverage can be ordered either hot or cold
4-If you marry a Muslim, sorry you have to be one… if you refuse to convert, your marriage doesn’t exist
5-The common greeting is to lightly touch hands and then touch your heart… I greet you from the heart
6-The call to prayer becomes background noise
7-A fifteen minute ride in the car can turn into a 2 hour trip by bus
8-The love of God reaches villages that have never seen white people
9-Say the word “la” at the end of every sentence and you are speaking fluent Malay… also I thought that everyone was talking to me the whole month…
10-If someone orders ketchup and looks at you funny when you give them tomato sauce, it is because that is what they call soy sauce.
