Yes… I did eat a baby semi-developed duck… yuck… haha
Tonight, I was introduced to an Asian delicacy called balut. For those of you that don’t know, balut is a fertilized duck egg that contains a nearly-developed embryo. Yeah. That’s what I ate… Aside from the fact that there were feathers and eye balls and beaks in our semi-developed eggs, it mainly tasted like a hard boiled yolk. I don’t have much else to say about that experience except that I don’t regret it but will not be indulging on balut anytime in the near future.
Also, I wanted to just give it up for halo-halo, my new found love… it’s a dessert, and I’m not sure what is in it but it is awesome!!!
This is our last week here in the Philippines which is hard to believe, and I am sad to leave..
