Guys.

I’ve got some big news to share with you! No, I’m not fully funded (although I’m SOOOOO CLOSE!!). No, I’m not running a half-marathon or joining Crossfit. No, I’m not done with collecting all my gear. And no, I’ve not been invited to meet One Direction and share an everlasting friendship with them.

But close.

My route has changed for my upcoming year of ministry!! About two weeks ago, I received an email from the director of AIM and the director of The World Race asking Racers to be in prayer about switching squads. There was one squad that needed more Racers, and this particular squad would also be participating in something very different, yet extremely meaningful (I’ll get to this in my next blog). I prayed that God would allow me to become more of a “yes man” for His purposes.

Generally, I’m a practical, analytical, rational person. Because of this, I tend to look past things that don’t “compute,” or I overthink things, which sometimes creates unnecessary doubt or fear leading to INACTION. I’m trying to change that, per say. I want my mind to be completely unhinged of its beliefs about what can or cannot happen. I mean, God is pretty GREAT (as in powerful) and MIGHTY. Who I am to say that something can’t or won’t take place?? This next year, I will be exposed to many things that will challenge my way of thinking, in a good way. I pray that I become a willing and, as my bball coach in high school used to say, “COACHABLE” Christ-doer, and God-obeying YES MAN.

So, with that being said, I felt God providing me with this new opportunity and directing me to accept this switch with an open mind and heart! So, without further adieu, here is my new route as of now! Still in the works, country-wise, but so far, I’m amped to start anew in this squad of totally awesome people with a similar vision!

And change the world for Christ, we will.
