The other day, my team and I had a discussion regarding prayer; what it means to us personally, what it looks like in our lives, etc. We took a few minutes and write down our personal thoughts and then we shared them with one another. As I wrote down my thoughts on what prayer is to me, it kind of turned into a journaling session as I felt His presence at the thought of the powerful and intimate communion between us. After I shared what I wrote, my team immediately requested that I copy and paste it into a blog for the world to see, so here it is:
Prayer is…
Communication with God. It is personal, individual, and intimate first of all.
It’s meant to be simple, real, authentic, powerful.
Our words in prayer move mountains, command angels, heal the sick, and invite Godly perspective into any situation.
Prayer is not only speaking but it is listening. It is hearing the heartbeat of the Father and, with faith, without fear of man, and unashamedly partnering with the heart-cry, the passion, the purposes, and the promises of our God.
But it is first personal. It is our response to the love letters and the songs He sings over us day In and day out.
Each of us, with the measure of favor and faith we have been given, are invited to invite God into any and every circumstances. We acknowledge Him, bless, rejoice, mourn, cry, whisper, sometimes shout, and we may do all this in communion with Him through prayer.
Then, it is corporate. With prayer, we are commanded to bless Him, bless the saints, and call forth destiny over nations and atmospheres. In unity and in truth, our prayers really do avail much. We love on God with the family of God’s unified prayers given to Jesus.
We can only connect directly to Him because of the death and resurrection of our Savior Jesus and because He fell in love with the very essence of our beings before time.
Thank you God for beautiful communion with you.

And speaking of how God moves mountains with prayer, I am only $596 away from being FULLY FUNDED! I am so incredibly grateful for every second of this journey and for the ways The Lord has used people partnering with Him financially to radically change my life and all the people that I’ve come into contact with. I am so grateful that I seriously don’t have the words to adequately express my heart right now.
