This month is Unsung Heroes month for Team Teleios. What is an “Unsung Hero”, you may ask? An Unsung Hero might be a person who had a vision to start a Christian coffee shop that reaches out to people in a country where there has been devastation, or someone who has started an orphanage where the children learn that they are a part of a family where their greatest advocate is their Father in Heaven. An Unsung Hero is a person who has started a ministry that is greatly impacting the Kingdom of God that is not yet known by the rest of the world. Adventures in Missions (AIM) desires to find these people and assist them, champion them, and encourage them in their ministry by sending future World Race teams to be a part of their Kingdom work. Our task this month is to find these Unsung Heroes in the country of Malaysia.
This month looks a lot different than every other month so far. We have come into Malaysia without a specific ministry site, without a structured plan, and hopefully, without expectations. However, we know that with God, He has a plan. He knows exactly who we need to connect with, and we can expect marvelous things. Our hope and direction are fully dependent on God and hearing from Him this month. This is so exciting!
So our days consist of seeking God, researching ministries, talking to people who know people, who know people, who know people. We are setting up meetings in other cities. We are growing closer as a Team. We are stepping out with AIM’s vision to connect the Kingdom of God in Malaysia. We are given strength by hearing testimonies by other Racers of ministries they have found and how God has used that connection to bring so much fruit into the lives of everyone involved.
It is good to be here and to have great expectations of what God will do in and through us this month!
Please be in prayer for us that we would be open to God’s leading, that we would hear clearly from Him, and that as a team we would continue to be unified in truth and in vision.
