I mentioned in my previous blog, OVERFLOW in China, that my teammate met a lady in Starbucks who happened to be an English teacher here at a nearby university. She asked us to come and teach English in her department. So many amazing things have transpired through this.

We walked to the University where we were greeted by the University’s top English student who then gave us a tour of the campus.  When we returned to the meeting room, we were amazed to see they had a beautiful table laid out for us with fruit, drinks, leather seats, and all the heads of departments, chairmen, and dean of the University were waiting to greet us.  Immediately, I thanked God for the favor we had to be meeting with these influential people…all because of my teammate’s desire for a soy latte!  They had pictures taken with us and then presented us with gold medals from the university!

The Dean stated that she was so grateful to have us here. She said that by our working with the students we would “bring life” to them.  She said her students had so much to learn from us about our culture and would help them with their studies.  They asked us lots of questions about what we do in America and about our Western Culture.  We didn’t speak much of church but CHURCH WAS HAPPENING as we loved on them in return.  We are so blessed by these contacts that God set up for us and are so excited to work with them more!

We have spent a lot of time with the student that showed us around campus.   He has become a good friend and we have seen a huge transformation in him this week. He is experiencing the kindness of God and I believe his life will never be the same because of it!
