I have finished my time in Vietnam and am now in Malawi! Sorry about the lateness of this post as I was in a closed country.Vietnam was uniquely amazing as my team was in Da Nang Vietnam doing Unsung hero’s. As Unsung hero’s we were looking for local ministries who needed some encouragement or could possibly partner with AIM.

Our daily schedule consisted of hanging out with locals, going to local ministries, prayer walking and loving whoever we came in contact with. As we were in a closed country it made sharing what we were doing difficult however God always opens doors, we were able to find a some local ministries to partner with. Even though that was awesome what was even cooler was the hospitality shown by the local church.

I have never felt more apart of an authentic Christian community than in Vietnam. During our first church service we met Salome who offered her home for us to stay in. We stayed with Salome for just under a week and the kindness she showed to six young adults was amazing! Salome allowed us to have freedom in the home and even cooked us a South African speciality, ostrich.

After we had finished staying in her beautiful home the four girls moved to a hotel and our two boys stayed at Sherman’s place. Sherman was from Texas helping out with whatever he could and accepted us as family. I had the privilege of going to an English club he hosts and the way he loves those college students was remarkable.

Each and every moment of everyday I felt valued and saw God’s love come out of peoples eyes. It is amazing that we went to go encourage people but God used those people to encourage me more.

I am now in Malawi serving in orphanages, schools, widows groups and feeding programs. I am also working alongside six new people; Rick, Isaac, Jess, Alicia, Dani and Tabby. New continent and a new team. Thank-you to everyone who donated over the last few months! I have passed the previous deadline and am now only 4,750 away from the final deadline. Thanks again everyone!
