You see pictures of the race and think well that look awesome,it is. Everyday is a little different and surprises lurk around every corner. Being in eleven different countries opens opportunities for unique cultural experiences, adventure and seeing things you never thought you would. Even with all the newness around you find a rhythm and start to miss the glamour of it all.

At some point you start doing things that don’t seem that great anymore, it gets frustrating. You post some pictures of yourself doing fun things and edit it so you look less greasy. It really is not glamorous at all, to be honest, but with a perspective change it actually becomes glamourous.

Lifting bags into a bus while Africans scream at you… doesn’t seem too glamorous, right? BUT you meet Dan from the UK who helps with the bags, he’s an awesome man doing an internship with a company who specializes in micro-loans. 12 hours of travel in the middle of the month, when you least expect it, well now you get to serve with two ministries. It may be the little things like not showering and learning to appreciate the access you have in North American or carrying your pack and realizing how little you actually need.

The World Race is very exciting and glamorous; cramming into mini buses, being peed on, gazing at Gods beautiful earth, locking eyes with a stranger, saying hello then hugging goodbye, feedback everyday all freaking day, confusing ministry, organized ministry, laughing, exhaustion, solitude, the list can go on… Don’t be confused by pictures of people doing fun adventures around the world, that is not what this is about. This thing called the World Race is much more about getting dirty, community and long days of ministry.

Everyday on the race is charming you just have to choose to see it that way. Not really easy but it is worth it. Waking up and saying yes even when it doesn’t seem glamorous anymore, that’s how normal life should be, filled with God’s simplistic, perfect and everyday kind of glamour.

As I am on a missions trip I get to invite people to partner with me. Ways you can do that is by prayer and financial support. Thank-you everyone who has been praying for me it is seriously appreciated! Thank-you so very much to everyone who has donated you have blessed me with so much! I am still in need of $1,775 to meet my final deadline. The final deadline is July 1st (about one week away). I would really love to stay here and serve God some more so if you are able please click the support link, if everyone I knew donated the cost of one Starbucks drink ($5) I’d be fully funded.

AND!!! for every 500 dollars donated I will be showing a small clip of my bungie jumping and canon swing video so theres some incentive! LOVE YOU ALL!!!
