For the last six years around this time I would be at camp getting ready for the summer. Its weird to think thats not what I’m going to be doing this year but instead I’ll be getting ready for a new and different adventure.
Last summer at camp I read the leaders a book called ,”The Places You’ll Go” by Dr.suess. I would share about how God has adventures that we don’t even know about planned for our lives and to be open and ready for what he has next. Stepping down from the role of leadership director was hard but I know that God had his hand in moving on from that chapter.
As I was praying about my next steps I learned about the World Race and now I’m here! Wow, the places i’ll go! If I was to think about where my life would lead me I would never have imagined a trip like this. 11n11 seems like a world wind adventure that many can only dream of but God knew! I am so blessed to be called into this season of life.
I am most looking forward to serving God and not having to organize the program but just enjoying the process. I’m excited to be a part of a team and not feeling the pressure of being the main leader. I am also looking forward to seeing culture and life of everyday people in different countries and taking their life home with me. I believe we all have something to learn from others.
As I said before it’s weird not being at camp and preparing for the summer but I’m excited about the places God is calling me and excited for this adventure.
