Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trails of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. James 1: 2-4

Well I have pure joy for days with all of the trails I am facing!

I remember when I used to get upset when I broke a nail or when I arrived too late at McDonald's for breakfast. Now those things don't even hit the radar. I'm learning how to give not only small trials to God, but also the massive, gut wrenching ones like the very real and imminent possibility of being homeless, penniless and foreclosing on my home.

I've eaten so much humble pie lately I'm starting to get indigestion!  But the Lord says, "The brother in humble circumstances ought to take pride in his high position." James 1:9

God has transformed to mind to redefine what success is and what it means to be in a high position. It is not owning a Lexus, having a VP title and having enough money to buy every gadget and take every trip you ever dreamed of. It is being filled with love, peace, wisdom and being so close to God that you can hear His heartbeat through the people—the poor, the destitute, the abandoned, the voiceless, the widowed, the orphaned and the abused.

It is not bullying people and stepping on others to get ahead, but instead stepping up to help others along their journey.

It is not about stepping down and being a doormat in the name of humility and meekness, but about standing firm for truth and justice fully equipped with the armor of God and KNOWING that God will go out before you and also be your rear guard.

Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Ephesians 6:13

God is allowing many giants into my life, but I will not back down.  I know that ONLY God can defeat these giants.  And when He does, may my praise ring out through the nations!

Blessed is the man who perseveres under trail, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love Him. James 1:12

I still need $14,000 for my mission trip!  Please pray about it, and give generously.  I know God wants to use you to reach the nations, and through this mission you can. Prayers are much needed, but faith without works is dead.  May your heart move your hands to you wallet and put your money where your faith is 🙂  Click the "Support Me" tab on the left to give online now!!
