This month in Australia we are blessed to be working with the aboriginal people in the Bagot Community in Darwin, Australia.  There are about 35 homes with a total of approximately 200 people in the community.  Each Wednesday and Sunday evening we have services at the Bagot Church where we worship, hand out food, give testimonies and preach the Gospel.  On Friday afternoons/evenings we pick up the kids from Bagot (usually 30-40) and take them to a local water park.  It’s free admission and an awesome part of ministry!  There are 3 large water slides, an enormous pool, water playground and regular playground.  We cook sausages for the kids and play in the park with them then tell them a bible story, sing songs with them and feed them before we take them back home.

On Sunday mornings we lead church service at an old folks home for aboriginals.  On most other mornings we walk around Bagot praying over the land and people, engage with people just learning their stories and praying for them and pick up trash and broken glass. On Monday and Tuesday evenings we walk around talking with people and inviting them to a worship/fellowship service.  Each night we move to a different location in the community and set up chairs and have a large speaker with a mic where we play music from an iPod.  We typically have snacks and cold drinks and have a great time talking about Jesus and sending praises up to Him.

One Monday evening there was a fairly large turnout and we were drunk in the spirit!  People from neighboring houses began flooding their driveways so they could watch and listen to our worship.  We danced and sang for hours and the Spirit of God was thick in that place!  We made a circle and played some Lacrae and a dance off broke out.  The headlamps we were wearing turned into flashing disco dance strobe lights and it was on!  After hours of dancing we decided to call it a night and circled around to pray.  We called out to all who were sitting in their driveways and they joined us for prayer.  A local Christian lady, Angie, said it was only by the power of the Spirit because those people never came to church.  It was a powerful evening and we shook the gates of Hell with the party in the streets!
