I was blessed to spend my Easter Birthday weekend in Colorado with a dear friend.  It was a great trip, and I am now officially 28 years old!  We had several adventures including a few things I'd never done before.  We went snowshoeing and to a natural hot springs.  I even got a mud bath!

Saturday night we stayed with a few friends in Golden so we could be close to Red Rock to attend Sunrise Service.  This was my first Easter sunrise service, and it was awesome!  Surrounded by new friends and ten thousand people I didn't know, but who were all in attendance to worship our creator God was a phenomenal feeling!  I glimpsed heaven as we watched the sun rise in the beautiful setting God created for us to enjoy.  The earth proclaimed his Glory and the very rocks cried out His praise!

The Reverend who brought the service is the Mayor of Denver.  He proclaimed over and over that we can live today with no fear because He [Christ] got up!

We can look forward to tomorrow because He got up!

We can love our enemy because He got up!

Every day we should celebrate Easter in our hearts.  Every day we should proclaim Christ is risen and because He is risen, I can do anything!

The significance of Christ rising from the dead is more than words can describe!  Because Christ arose I am forgiven from my sins, I can live with the full assurance that I will spend eternity with Christ!

I am so blessed to have so many loving people in my life, but even more blessed to have a Savior who would and did die for me, but who was also powerful enough to rise from the dead, conquering sin and death.

I received a lot of advice about gear from my new friends in Colorado!  As you can well imagine they are an outdoorsy bunch 🙂

I was also so blessed to meet someone who will be on the race with me, Noah!  He is a great guy, and we were able to talk for 2 1/2 hours and share our hearts.  I'm looking forward to meeting the rest of the team, and spending the next year and half with them.  I know God will bond our hearts for life, and I am so thankful that He is expanding my territory for Him!

Keep me in your prayers and pray against spiritual warfare and for a financial outpouring.  After mailing out my first set of support letters, getting a few vaccinations and purchasing my flight to/from training camp, I'm down to $200.

I also found out this morning my tenants in my duplex will be moving out the end of May.  I am so happy they have been blessed with a house to purchase! However, it does create a need for good reliable tenants before I leave.  Please keep this specific need in your prayers as well, and if you know anyone who needs a place to live in Rogersville, MO let me know 🙂  Its 3 bedroom and 2 bath with a 2 car garage and good sized backyard.

Fighting the good fight and running the race until my Lord returns,
Your Sister in Christ
