With only 7 days of high school remaining, we have began to pack up our school room and close this chapter of our lives. There is certainly a mixture of emotions happening. Sadness, because I am thinking of everything I must leave behind in Swaziland; Joy, because I was never a big fan of school lol; and finally, suspense. Have you ever been in a situation where you finally get used to one thing and then it changes again? This is how I feel right now. For the past 4 years of my life I have called Swaziland my “home” and I cannot believe that the time is almost here to leave this beautiful country and go back to the U.S. Every time we go back to the states it almost feels like going to a foreign country. Between driving on the other side of the road, huge grocery stores with way too many options, and an abundance of restaurants, it seems so foreign to me now. I lived there for 13 years, but for some reason it just feels weird.

As I prepare to move back to the U.S. before going on the race, I wonder what will come next. What am I doing? How will I fit all of my stuff in a backpack for 9 months? What will I do about college? For quite some time I wanted to study Culinary Arts because I love to cook, but then the Lord just placed this opportunity in my life to spread the Gospel to the ends of the Earth. This is ultimately what we are called to do, go tell about Christ and show His love to those who have never experienced it (and even those who have).

I’m not sure what I will do about college yet, but… I have some more exciting news! I recently found out that I will now have the opportunity to earn college credit while on the World Race Gap Year! This is the first time that it has been offered and I am so excited! I will have the chance to earn a total of 9 credit hours in Spiritual Formation, Principles of Leadership, and Practicum in International Evangelism. Lately, I feel that the Lord is leading me into some type of ministry, possibly with students, so all of these classes would be super helpful! Not sure where I want to study, but I know that God has a plan for me and that He will reveal it in His timing. For now, I just need to FOCUS on what God is doing currently and TRUST in Him.

Let me conclude by praising God for all that He has done. He is so good! I am over 60% funded, which completely blows my mind and I am so thankful for all of you who have given so generously. If you are interested in giving, it would be greatly appreciated, and you can easily do so by clicking the donate button. May God bless each and every one of you.
