Hello everyone, So I’m writing about a lesson God is currently working in me. I was on the roof of the house I am staying in and I was just flipping through books and chapters of the Bible, hoping God would speak and reveal something to me. I was tired already and it was more just a hip shot to see if God would come through when I was too lazy and tired to seek Him. Sure enough, in my weakness He came through. I believe that what he shared with me is for everyone. I hope you enjoy this and don’t just read it and learn it, but put it into practice. Without action it is all useless.
“Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might; for there is no work or device or knowledge or wisdom in the grave where you are going.” (Ecclesiastes 9:10)
We are all going to die one day. When we die, we will take nothing: no wisdom, knowledge, titles, possessions. So if we take nothing in death, all we do now is only for life. So then, what we do on this earth isn’t for us but for others. For God to be glorified in all ways through people. Solomon the Wise tells us that since we take nothing with us, we should do every work we put our hand and minds to with all our might and strength.
As I read this, God is teaching me a simple lesson that requires such self-control and dedication. God is teaching me to seek Him and find Him with all my might. To do the ministry that God allows me with every part of my being. To love the people around me with all my power. To wake up every morning with joy, to read and pray and to give diligence in having a relationship with the Father. Why? Not because I have to but because I want to, and with my might. Death is sudden and swift, and falls upon us secretly and without warning. On this race I could die tonight, tomorrow, or even as
I write this now.Which is why I should give my all everyday, because each day could be my last. We all have heard something similar to this, about how life is short or you could be living your last day. It’s time we live each day with all our might; because we live for the next generation. We live to change the things that are into the godly possibilities of what can be. Even on this race as I speak to the men and woman around the world I might never see the impact on this Earth. Maybe years after I am back home and finished with the race they will find Jesus, or find the passion to want to present him to their community, their country, the world. I don’t need to know if every time I speak or do something, someone changes or is saved. But I do want to know that when I go to heaven I gave all my might, to God, to Jesus and to sharing the gospel to the people of the world. These things are eternal; these things I will see again. These things I don’t take to heaven, but I meet in heaven.
“For man also does not know his time: Like fish taken in a cruel net, Like birds caught in a snare, So the sons of men are snared in an evil time, When it falls suddenly upon them.” (Ecclesiastes 9:12)
God is currently helping me to understand that if you do not do everything with all your might, if you do not seek God with all your strength, if you do not love people as you love yourself, and if you do not love God with your heart and soul then you truly are not living life as it should be. You could die tonight or tomorrow. Leave your mark on this world – a mark that is the imprint of Christ.
