Let me tell you a little about this woman…
Not a Valentine’s Day goes by that I don’t receive a box of Necco sweethearts and a hand written poem from my mom. Not a birthday goes by that the Waites Family doesn’t have the “happy birthday” sign draped across the fireplace. Not a Christmas morning goes by without my mom waiting at the bottom of the stairs with the video camera in hand and breakfast casserole in the oven. There isn’t a single time I returned home without a cookie cake on the kitchen table reading “Welcome home Lana!”… even if it was only a 3 day trip. Every visit from Auburn was welcomed by my favorite meal. The point is, my mother doesn’t let an opportunity pass her by to make me feel special. That’s her “thing”… making other people feel special.
