[me with my two ridiculously amazing squad leaders on st. patty’s].
At the end of our month in the Philippines, our squad leaders [Mark and Kyla] appointed new squad leaders since they would [and now have] be leaving at the end of month 4. Since the new squad leaders were pulled from their previous teams, a few team changes happened along the way. My team, for the most part, stayed the same. However, we lost one great member, John and accumulated a new [yet familiar] face.

Mr. Daniel Stinson now belongs to our team. Due to this new addition, we changed our team name. We are now known as Team Powerhouse. This [amazing] team, got to spend our first month together living in a tree house in Middleofnowhere, Cambodia. It was the perfect place for us to dive head first into life together. Late night porch talks with our newest member was one of my favorites. The Lord taught me [along with the rest of my team] so much about prayer last month. Why pray? What’s the point? How powerful are our prayers? Etc. etc. etc. Read Danny’s blog for a more detailed explanation of what the Lord took us through here and here.
We have since then traveled to Thailand where we begin month 5 of ministry tomorrow morning. We had a few days of rest, cultural debriefing, and goodbyes to our old squad leaders in Bangkok. One overnight bus later, we have arrived in Ubon Ratchathani, Thailand [we just call it Ubon]. By “we, I mean the 5 females of Powerhouse along with the females of two other teams. All the fellas are doing “Manistry this month on the western border of Thailand. We will be working with a local church doing things like painting the church, youth ministry, church planting, and possibly working with an orphanage and/or prison. I am so excited about what God has in store for us this month!
