-Being a Christian isn’t a declaration, many people claim it with their lips.. Im learning that being a Christian is an action.. It’s a man we love and a life style that proves it..

-Being a Christian isn’t about answered prayers or prosperity and blessings.. If this were the case every metropolitan city would be full of Christians.. Its not a big house and a nice car, its not the ability to pay all your bills and have enough left over for the gorgeous dress you think you deserve because you worked hard that week… Im learning sometimes being a Christian means giving up many luxuries and knowing a blessing is joy, peace, health, salvation, faith, grace and love..

-Being a Christian isn’t a service, you can help people all your life and never be a Christian.. Im learning that service is just a fruit, its something you long to do when you become a Christian, Something you feel called to do.. Feeding 1000 starving children is not more important to God then smiling at that one little old lady that looks sad walking down the road..

-Being a Christian

isn’t a denomination.. Jesus only got angry at one type of person, the person that judged and made religious ways more important then personal relationship.. Soon as you think your way is the right way or only way, you are walking on dangerous ground, I have learned that Gods the only judge and His word the only way..

-Being a Christian doesn’t make you perfect.. Many people get disappointed in Christianity because they find out being Christian still means your human.. Only one man ever walked the earth with no sin, and that was Jesus.. Jesus came for the Sinners.. Not the Holier then Thou religious people.. I have learned that many times it’s when we stumble as Christians that we grow
the most.. Stumbling keeps us humble and our eyes focused upward..Christians have a joy and hope about them that says, everyday I will be more like Jesus then I was the day before.. Even an 85 year old Christian man is still being refined by Abba Father..

-Being a Christian isn’t going to church building.. I have learned that Church is where ever 3 or more people gather together in Christ’s name.. It can be in a street, in a house, it can be in a restaurant with friends.. It can be with 3 barefoot homeless kids in the streets in Guatemala.
Many villages cant afford church buildings, and you don’t need a roof to grab other believer’s hands and pray or sing to God.. Rather its 3 people or 3000 people God wants us to have community and worship him together, no walls needed..

-Being a Christian doesn’t mean you won’t suffer… I have learned that once you ask God to live in your heart and direct your paths you are never the same.. God will mold you and put you in situations to make you grow.. It rains on the just and the unjust ,But, with God in your heart you come out a stronger, deeper, and refined when the storm is over.. God will never give you more then what you can handle, but its only through various trials that your faith is stretched and you learn who you truly are in Christ, so Christians count it all Joy as they walk through the fires of life..

Being out here away from the states im learning what I thought was the only way is just one of many ways.. God is so big and our ways are so small compared to his.. Things people freak out over in the states doesn’t even exist out here.. I know many churches back home bicker over the color of the carpet they will put on the floor or rather the singer will be good, they panic if the sound system goes out and cancel service if the AC breaks… But out here there are no carpets, everyone sings and the only sound system is the Holy Spirit whispering in the ears of his people.. This is true church..

Sometimes in our attempt to please everyone we fail to please God.. I have learned it don’t take much to please God, Just a people that will surrender to him and seek him.. And when we do this we need no one person to lead the service, because when you stop caring about details and focus on the Lord, He takes over and leads and directs better then any human could.. And the result is an outpouring of the Holy Spirit and changed lives…

If you come home from church the same person as when you left, God wasn’t in it..

Make sure you invite God into your service, your house, your life…

I used to hate the word Christian because so many negative thoughts came to my mind.. But I know now what the word really means, and im proud to say I AM A CHRISTIAN!
