“Oh Lord maybe if i hug her long enough some of her will rub off on me!” That is what i said as i was soaking up the hugs from the pastor and his wife and the family and friends that make up their small congregation. The warmth and the love that radiate from them is contagious! And the Food !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We do not speak the same language but that does not stand in the way of the close bond we formed in the 4 days we got to know them..
Mario is a Man after Gods own heart and his wife is a model woman, the perfect wife and mother and friend.. If you want to know more about them I think it’s posted on the team blog but I just can not get over the hospitality! I was crying and they were crying when we left! They hugged us goodbye like a mother would her son going off to war..i think it took 20 mins to say goodbye.. As we drove away they ALL stood outside their little door and waved as we drove down the road..
We leave tomorrow, early in the morning and the race begins.. We will be packed in there like sardines, and we have two people joining us this leg of the race.. One doesn’t speak English at all! Hehe..
Many have asked how my tummy is doing and I am glad to report, so far no problems!
We had a guy named Tim that was a trained body guard and specially trained guy teach us some stuff about staying safe in the places we are going.. Things to look for and take notice of and how to handle certain situations that might arise.. So, with Gods wisdom and protection and Tims training we should be safe.
When I have more time I will write something more in depth but its soooo late and we have to wake up at 5am, and I still have to pack up all my stuff tonight.. I love you all !
Pray for us, and learn with us, minister with us and grow with us…
In His Love and Faithfulness,
Lady Tauna*
