Muraho everyone!
We’re in Africa and its nothing like what I expected. We have very limited access to internet so please be patient with me posting! =)The internet has been down in Rwanda for some time…
It’s gorgeous just like the people herel! Driving in we were surrounded by mountains, green valleys, red dirt and staring eyes. And so so much love!

This month we are working and staying with Peter, his wife Jane and their four kids. Our ministry mainly consists of outreach. Our team does door to door evangelism 4 mornings of the week. The people here are so welcoming….when we knock on their gate they usually welcome us in and eagerly listen to what we have to share with them. Just the other day, Reese, Curt, Peter and I were walking back to our meeting place when a bunch of men on bikes used to taxi people around crowded into a circle to hear more about what we were doing in Africa. Reese and Curt shared about Jesus and I prayed at the end. Before we left there was a group of over 20 some people gathered just listening…I love the thirst so many people have for more. The believers here have intense faith that I admire.

A few nights a week we have fellowship at church where we preach and share testimonies. Some days we visit at the hospital or visit the University or schools to speak to people…This month is already stretching me to get even more out of my comfort zone.
I love Africa so much! It’s much cooler then Asia which surprised me. This month our team is growing even closer then before living in such close quarters. There is literally nowhere to go alone. We 4 girls share a small room and the guys another. The bathroom is ceilingless and everyone can hear everyone else and their business. We spend morning until night together everyday, but I wouldn’t want it any other way. I’m learning to live in community and live beyond myself. It challenges me everyday and yet I love it. We walk miles and miles everywhere up and down hills but its good after all the bananas, noodles and potatoes we’re eating.
Recently the team was all down sick from drinking unboiled water. It was a terrible few days but we’re recovered thanks to Jesus.
When I have more time I will share other stories! Until then enjoy the snow back home for me while I get a tan for you…
