Hola, friends and family! This is my first official blog right from the field! C-squad safely made it to Honduras! My team, Brazen Hearts, along with a few other teams are working with a woman named Gracie at Heart of Christ. Its been a busy week of training, traveling and serving. As this is my first time out of the U.S., I’m dealing with a tiny bit of culture shock, and I realized how absolutely TERRIBLE my spanish is. My most common phrases include “Lo siento” (I’m sorry) and “me espanol es muy malo” (my spanish is very bad)! But the people here are so kind and eager to bless, even through thier poverty. On one walk through the village we were blessed by two seperate people: oranges and chocolate! Its humbling to allow other people to bless me when I feel like I should be the one blessing them.
My journey on this race has just started, but here I am, with barely four days of being on the field and the Lord is already teaching me so much about his heart! I’m so excited to share this journey with all of you. I have another blog post brewing in my mind about a sweet moment I had last night but, you will have to wait for it! I will work on it for the next several days and hopefully post it next weekend!
Please keep me, Brazen Hearts, and C-squad in your prayers just as you are in ours! Adios, until next time!
