Lately God has been speaking to me about how He wants me to step out even more in the power and authority He has given me, specifically, as His bride.

On Sunday morning during my quiet time, I was reading in the 6th chapter of Luke about Jesus healing the man with the withered hand on the Sabbath. Every Sunday we have worship and preaching which is followed by lunch and outreach to one of the local villages.

On this particular Sunday, outreach consisted of our pastor, two of my team members (Kiana and Kevin), and I hosting one of the weekly children’s ministry events. Kiana and I ended up staying with the children while Kevin and the pastor went to do street/house evangelism. (Note: In Cambodia, it is perfectly normal to show up at a stranger’s home and start a conversation.) Anyway, after our event was over, Kiana and I joined Kevin and the pastor at the house they had gone to. They were sitting on the porch, talking to a sweet Cambodian man whose right arm was splinted with a bamboo mat held in place by strips of red plastic.

As soon as I stepped foot on that porch, I felt Holy Spirit, HEAVY. He said, “Lacey, I am at work. Start praying!” So I did just that. As Kevin was telling this Cambodian man about Jesus, for the next 15 minutes or so, I prayed in The Spirit with complete holy desperation. During that time, the Lord brought to my heart the story in Luke I had read that morning about Jesus healing the man with the withered right hand and how Jesus told him,“Stretch out your hand.” I asked Jesus to speak that same thing to his heart, that this Cambodian man would stretch out his hand to Jesus.

The pastor then told us we were were going to pray for the man’s hand. We had previously been sitting down and right when we stood up, I was completely overwhelmed because I KNEW JESUS WAS DOING IT. As I laid hands on this man, I asked the Lord to make me his hands, that His healing power would be released through this man’s body, and that he would FEEL the power of Jesus being released in his hand. I began saying: “Just ONE touch, Lord! Just ONE word, Lord! Just ONE drop of YOUR blood, Lord, and He will be healed!!!” And I heard that divine whisper: “It is finished!” All I could say after that was the precious and powerful name of King Jesus over and over again: “JESUS JESUS JESUS JESUS!!!!”

Once we were done praying, I looked down at the man’s hand and saw that the swelling had gone down significantly. The pastor talked to us afterward–because the language barrier hindered us from knowing what was happening. He said that the man felt a RELEASE in his hand and that He had accepted Jesus into His heart!!!!

PRAISE GOD!!!!

So, if you were wondering, JESUS STILL HEALS (AND) He still heals right hands on the Sabbath!!!

Please be praying for this man (his name is Rottinick). Pray that God would send someone to walk beside him and build him up in his faith, that He would come to know the fullness of God’s love for him and understand that HE is the ONE TRUE God. Please also pray against the attacks of the enemy to steal his attention or cause him to stumble or turn His eyes away from Jesus.
