Ok, time for an update! You know it’s past due when you sit down to write a blog and there’s so much to tell, you almost have to divide it into 5 or 6 blogs. Sigh…time management may be a good thing to pray for at this point. J
Well, the first thing I should tell you, is that I am (still) in Nicaragua! Praise the Lord. We were slated to spend the month of April here at the New Song Mission in Candelaria, then move on to El Salvador in May. But God had bigger, better plans (more to come on that in my next blog!). He is keeping us here through May, then next month we will journey on to Thailand.
The next thing you should know…I’m on a new team! We’ve had a great, challenging month of growing together and into our callings on the Race. Let me take a minute and introduce them to you…

Char Matz. My little Wigwam. 😉 I’ve never met a more compassionate person, who naturally cares for and loves others. God has brought her through so much, and her heart is about as big as a Mack truck. She has an incredible ability to encourage and lift others up. And it doesn’t hurt that she’s from Minnesota, one of the greatest states on earth! 😉

Carrie Trullen. I love this woman. She is intelligent, compassionate, funny, and a true servant at heart. She has spent the last few years as a nurse in the Wisconsin area, and she is SUCH an asset to this team, in so many ways. Plus she is just so dang fun to be around!!

Chris Ledbetter. Our “refresher.â€ Has a spirit that is like a cold, icy glass of water (or, where he’s from, sweet tea) on a hot summer day. Encourager. Edifyer. Servant. Has an amazing ability to speak truth into people’s lives. And doesn’t mind us constantly ripping on his Arkansas accent! 😉
As I write this, I realize even more how excited I am to be on this team. We have already seen so much growth, and I believe God has so much more in store. Our team name is “Hagiazo,” which is a Greek word meaning “to be sanctified, or made holy,” something God is making very real to us right now. What a humbling call he has put on us. Can’t wait to see what this next leg of the Race has in store for us…
