Hi all!
Well, where to start? My name is Lacey Ann Bastman. I’m 26 years old, and a not-too-recent graduate of Arizona State University (go Devils!!). I’m a midwest girl at heart, born in Minnesota and raised in sunny AZ. I have two wonderful parents (hi mom & dad!) and one pest of an older brother (hi Cole!). As you can see, I love them dearly. 😉

I fell in love with Jesus when I was 18 years old, and that has forever changed who I am and what matters to me. I am not perfect. I don’t have it figured out, or “together.” But what I do know, is that I once was blind. I didn’t know the truth. I didn’t know love. I didn’t know what it meant to be healed and restored. I didn’t even know I NEEDED to be healed or restored. But now, Jesus has given me sight. I know the truth, because he is the truth. I know love, because he is love. I know what it means to be healed and restored, because he is the healer and restorer. And he offers himself to all of us. No questions asked, no consideration of skin color or language or income or education. He truly loves us, and just wants us to know him.
That is the heartbeat of this journey for me. To know more of Christ and my need for him. To carry the love I have found in him to the nations. To be his hands and feet. I know he will add more to it as I go, but for now, that is the simple truth.
And, of course, I can’t have an “About Me” blog without sharing some random things about myself, so here goes….
- I get really really excited about good food. Especially good Mexican food.
- I am the reigning World Champion of Mario Kart for Super Nintendo (Princess, of course!….and yes, I did just say Super Nintendo…and yes, World Champion is a legitimate title, at least in my book)
- I am a reader and a writer. And a grammar nerd.
- I cannot remember movie lines to save my life, no matter how many times I have seen the movie. It’s sad really, I think my brain is missing that chip or something.
- I have a great dog, he’s some sort of Cocker Spaniel or American Cocker, I don’t really know because he was adopted. Anyway, his name is Barkley and I believe he just may be the best dog ever. 🙂
- I graduated with a degree in Linguistics. (See “grammar nerd” above)
- I have amazing, supporting, loving friends and family, and home church (elevationchurch.tv). I would not be who I am, nor where I’m at without them.
