Do you ever feel like you are in a place of waiting? Knowing that changes and big life events are coming up but the time before just feels like it is dragging on and you don’t know what to do with it? That big trip or move or life change is just a couple months away and it’s all you can think and talk about…
This is my life right now. October is a little over 7 months away and I feel like my life right now is in a waiting period that is just building up for the World Race. Obviously, there is a lot of planning and thinking that goes into play to prepare for this 11-month journey BUT WHAT ABOUT NOW??
Not everyone is going to go on the World Race but I know everyone can relate to waiting for something big you know is coming. And that could even be the unknown. That was definitely where I was a year ago. Each day just wondering what the Lord had in store for me next and it really consumed my thoughts. Until He led me to the World Race, but now I just spend my days waiting until the Launch Date gets here!
Something someone said to me this week was, “The Lord is strongest with you RIGHT NOW.” This really spoke to me because I constantly think about the World Race and how I can’t wait to see what the Lord does through me all around the world. But why am I not waking up each day and wondering what the Lord is going to do this day??
“Be very careful then how you live- not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil.” Ephesians 5:15-16
This is a great reminder to make the most of today. The Lord knows everything that is to come, so why not be in the “here and now”? I am working to not let this time of my life be defined as a “waiting period” for the World Race. I can be making a difference as much right now, as I can all around the world in a few months. So what are you waiting for? Trust the Lord & Go make the most of your NOW!
