So, as some of you may have read in one of my recent blogs- I won’t be coming home after the race. I will have about a two week turnaround and then I’ll be off to Guatemala with gap year. I will be leading the squad for 9 months, alongside an incredible team, and I am so excited about this opportunity!
Something Adventures in Missions does before a squad launches for the World Race is called TRAINING CAMP. It’s 10 days of camping, growing, learning, worshipping, applying teachings and getting to know the squad! Gap Year (the squad I’m helping lead) will be having their training camp in July.
This is when everyone gets together for the first time! There’s nothing quite like training camp and the bonds you make in those 10 days. It is also a time as leadership to really get to know the squad. Training camp played a huge role in kick starting my experience on the race. Our squad had an amazing week and a half that helped quickly set a foundation and tone for the next 11 months of our lives together.
I want to lead this Gap Year Squad as best as I can. In order to do that I feel like I should be at training camp in July. God has really placed it on my heart. This was a difficult decision because I will be gone for 12 days of our time in Uganda (month 10). To go to training camp I will fly to Georgia and return back to the field to finish out my last mont with P Squad. .

I genuinly wish I could explain the impact training camp had on my life before I started this journey! I would LOVE to be there as this next squad begins their own journey!
