I am currently living in the kingdom in the sky. Lesotho is an amazing country filled with countless lofty mountains, warm and vibrant Besotho people, and souls thirsty to know more about our Lord and Savior.
This past Saturday as I drove up to one of the villages in the mountains, Botha Bothe, I was amazed by God’s artwork. I felt that if I reached my arms far enough out the window that I would be able to touch the clouds that God had painted in the sky. After about a 2 hour drive, we arrived at our final destination where we would be doing ministry for the weekend and I was greeted like family. I can promise that if you ever meet a Besotho person, you will be greeted with a huge, loving smile and a handshake that I could only attempt to explain to you. The people here radiate so much love and joy that you can’t help but reciprocate the love and joy you have witnessed in them. This weekend prayers were answered and God’s kingdom was expanded further into the kingdom in the sky.

This weekend the Lord led me to the one I had been praying for.
On December 8th, I was challenged to write out some dangerous prayers that I had for God. One of the dangerous prayers I wrote was for God to put me in the path of at least one person that I could tangibly lead to Christ. I have no doubt that over the past 6 months the Lord has used me to plant seeds in hearts and essentially lead closer to God, but there is something so special about seeing the seeds you’ve planted sewed. And this weekend my team and I saw the Lord work in such mighty ways.
God answered my prayer.
And he answered it ABUNDANTLY!!!

After our drive to Botha Bothe, my team and I walked to the church we had planned a youth service for. On our short walk there, we saw a herd of sheep waiting for their shepherd, a pen of a dozen pigs and piglets, mom’s hanging laundry on the line, and kids and youth ready to attend our service! Walking into the church was a heart warming sight. It reminded me that a church can be in the middle of huge city or it can be in the middle of people’s backyards. It can have a nice roof with fluorescent lights, or it can have a tin roof with rays of light shining though small holes in the metal. It can have carpet floors, tile floors, or dirt floors with a handmade carpet made out of recycled maize bags. A church is simply a dwelling place of the Lord. Saturday afternoon the Lord was so present in this church. He spoke though each of my teammates and myself. Throughout the service, we told these daughters just how very loved they are, how they can never be too far away from God for him to take them into his arms, and that no sin is ever too big for the blood of Jesus to cover. By the end of our service, my dangerous prayer was answered. Through our testimonies and the power of the Holy Spirit, 7 daughters of Christ committed their lives to their Heavenly Father. It was an amazing thing to witness and be a part of. I was able to see seeds sewed! In honor of my new sisters, we all danced and sang just as countless angels were doing in heaven at the exact same time. Angels in Heaven and us on earth rejoiced for them.
And the Lord, He didn’t stop there!!

That afternoon, we walked into a radio station without knowing if they would be able to put us on air. From where we lived until we got to the radio station (about a 30minute walk), we prayed that this opportunity would be used. When we arrived, it wasn’t but a short 10 minutes until we were on air and being broadcasted all the way up the mountain!! God’s good news was shared and I rejoiced in this opportunity!
The next morning, Sunday, we woke up bright and early to go to the local prison. As I walked in, I was amazed to see that there were about 70 inmates the Lord has placed in front of us to preach to!! Walking into a prison only being a team of 6 young women, I was a little overwhelmed but I set down my expectations and plans and relied fully on the Holy Spirit to work in their hearts as we spoke. We all shared a short word and then performed a drama for them about a person who meets God and then falls into the temptations of the world. The main character becomes attacked by an unhealthy relationship, an insecurity about appearance, a desire to smoke, drinks, and abuse drugs, and even the temptation to end her own life. Constantly throughout the drama, God is there ready to fight for her. By the end, she realizes this and sees that through it all God never left her. She runs back into his arms and he embraces her. After the drama, two of my teammates preached about how great God’s love and forgiveness is and how it doesn’t matter how far away we may seem from God because He is always there waiting for us to let him fight our fights. We told them about the gospel and then invited them to be prayed over. I was in awe about how strongly the spirit moved in that place. That day, roughly 45 men came up to the front to be prayed over!!! I had prayed for a single soul, but God had more!!
