“I am willing, are you?”
A few years ago I went through a study with a close friend of mine called 5 days to a New You (aka 5 Days to a New Marriage, rewritten for singles). One of the topics we focused on was my willingness. Specifically my willingness and what was holding me back from trusting God. I felt the nudge to share these thoughts with you today as each one of us are called to something greater that requires a willing soul.
As I spent some much needed time with Lord, I cried out to Him in desperation. With each questioning thought, He calmed me with His heartfelt words and truth.
Lord, am I…
A failure?
“You may feel like a failure and disappointment because of your past but as long as you do everything unto Me with your whole heart, you cannot fail! You are redeemed!“
He redeems your life from the Pit; He crowns you with faithful love and compassion. Psalm 103:4
Unaccepted?
Definition: Not sought after.
“Kylon, you are sought after far beyond human belief. I seek you every day and I will not stop!”
They will be called the Holy People, the Redeemed of the Lord; and you will be called Sought After, the City No Longer Deserted.
Isaiah 62:12
Unwanted?
“I desire you! I chose you before I even knew you! You may feel unwanted, but I want you more than anything, My beloved daughter.”
They are more desirable than gold – than an abundance of pure gold; and sweeter than honey, which comes from the honeycomb.
Psalm 19:10
Inadequate?
Defenition: Insufficient for a purpose.
“I created you for a purpose. You feel inadequate because worldly goals are not what I created you for. Hold tight, I’ve got a plan!“
Do not be startled or afraid. Have I not told you and declared it long ago? You are my witnesses! Is there any God but Me? There is no other Rock; I do not know any.
Isaiah 44:8
Insecure?
“Your confidence and security should be founded in Me. I want to be your security blanket, your comforter; rest in Me. My arms are open, I’m ready to embrace you and keep you safe. Your identity is in Me, not in this world!”
I follow close to You; Your right hand holds on to me.
Psalm 63:8
I pray these thoughts and verse comfort you as they have me. Our Father delights in each of His children, what more could we ask for? Find peace and love in His arms.
HERE I AM, SEND ME.
