The past few weeks have looked like a lot of reflecting and a lot of processing over what all really happened this past year of my life. It was wild, that’s for sure. Even though it was absolutely nothing like I had expected, it was everything God knew I needed & He graciously walked me through it all.

Here are just some of the many things God has allowed me to journey with Him in over this past year:

I lived in a remote balinese village where no other Americans had ever been before

spent a month getting to love on and be loved by some sweet little girls who taught me how to truly be interruptible

ate spicy food soo hot I couldn’t stop the tears from pouring out of my eyes but smiled through it to respect our new friends who made it for us

witnessed the purest form of joy i’ve ever seen through kids at a special needs school

sang with a stranger on a ferry ride and danced along as she played her ukulele

helped bridge the gap by forming relationships with muslim teachers and the Indian church we served at

taught kids how to tumble & was told by someone in Malaysia that I should move there to start a cheer gym haha

testified time and time again to what God has done in my life and what He’s walked me through

saw how God longs to communicate and speak to His children – i learned how to really listen to His voice

sat on the ground with a homeless man battling addiction till like 2 am and was able to talk with about how much God loves him

learned from & prayed with the staff at a ministry dedicated to rescuing women out of the adult entertainment industry

laid hands on black betty (our van) and prayed manyyy times with my team for her to start whenever she’d break down… man, God taught me a lot through that dang van

ate sack lunches under bridges with homeless men and women, listened as they shared their stories and explained to them how they are seen and known and loved by the Father

cried with families who passed through lines at the food pantries we served at and laughed with alot of them too

was welcomed into a strangers home who ended up praying over us, feeding us, washing our feet, and then putting crowns on our heads and roses in our hands – God really used this day to remind me of how much He loves me

learned that I really love living in my tent & camping in the woods

the sweetest baby fell asleep in my arms and then pooped all over me during an African refugee church service

spoke at a house church service in a California RV park, got to share about how God has been teaching me that He’s my defender

had my heart wrecked by testimonies of God’s grace and love and freedom through incredible men I served with that are transitioning out of prison

worshipped on the edge of the grand canyon with my teammates

experienced community, surrender, adventure, joy, wonder, grief, conviction, growth, spiritual warfare, intimacy, healing, breakthrough, peace, and the Father’s love in ways like I’ve never before

I really do have so many stories i’d love to share. So, if you see me, ask me any question you want! ask me what I learned this year about who I am. ask me what was challenging about it all. or about the people I met and how they taught me so much more than I could’ve imagined. or why I didn’t give up when i wanted to. or ask me what God revealed to me about Himself.

From getting to be overseas for 2 months to closing out the year by spending 4 months driving around the US in a van, I am so grateful for my time with the race. Over and over I met God’s faithfulness face to face this year as He walked me through everything that He did, and taught me about my identity, & showed me who He really is along the way!

As world race america was coming to a close, I started praying for an opportunity to be part of something somehow that would be a continuation of all that I have seen and experienced and learned this past year. & i’m excited to get to share with you what that’s going to look like!

So what’s next??!!

well… this March i’ll be starting my time with G42 Leadership Academy. G42 stands for the 42nd Generation. It describes those who are choosing to become like Christ in how they live and in how they love others. It is a 9-month program that is designed to train, equip, & transform leaders to establish Kingdom wherever they’re at in the world. It is a leadership and discipleship school that’s broken up into three parts. I will spend the first 3 months in the classroom, living in Kingdom community, and being taught on core teachings of Christ. The middle 3 months are our practicum months where I will be given the opportunity on the “mission field” to practice and apply the tools and lessons I have learned while actively living out the way of Jesus. The final 3 months will be back in the classroom solidifying and sharing practicum lessons, and celebrating together, combined with more teachings that will focus on preparing us to carry everything we’ll have learned into the rest of our lives.

While the program has traditionally been located in Spain, it has in the past year moved stateside. We just found out this week that for our spring semester we will be in… Colorado Springs! 🙂 If you know me well or really at all then you probably have an idea already of how much I love that city. It definitely feels like a sweet gift that G42 is going to be where I spent the year leading up to my time on the world race!

I am excited and a little overwhelmed, but in the best way for what’s next! I think that in a way God sized things are meant to overwhelm us a bit, because in feeling my own smallness, it allows me to really press in and lean in to how big He is and let Him carry me through it. I would absolutely love for you to continue partnering with me in what’s next!

If you would, please be praying for me as I prepare to head to G42 in a couple months and as I work to meet my first fundraising deadline. I need at least $4,500 by the first week of March and a total of $11,900 for the entire program.
