In a book i’m in the process of reading through right now, there’s a chapter that asks this question – “Whose Mission Are You On?”

The author Jack Frost speaks of how the Father’s mission is “for you to experience His expressed love and to give it away to the next person you meet” (Spiritual Slavery to Sonship

I’ve been thinking about this particular definition of the Father’s mission a lot and every time I do it makes me smile. honestly i think it makes things seem reallll simple. & sometimes I can over-complicate the heck outta things.

I also like it because one of the biggest things I was taught at training camp is how the reason why God created me (and all of you) in the first place…. was simply so that HE COULD LOVE US. We were born to be loved and we get to love BECAUSE He first loved us.

He wants every human on this planet to KNOW and EXPERIENCE His love for them. & He loves us so much that He invites us into that mission of making His love known!

When my squad got pulled from the field back in March, we were asked to give Adventures in Missions 60 days to put together information and “re-launch” options for how we could move forward.

During those 60 days as I was waiting to hear from AIM, I found myself asking God alotttt of questions. I spent time processing everything that had happened in Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand and recognized how truly grateful I was for those months. but still, I was really longing to be back overseas. I was grieving not being where I thought I was “suppose” to be & I was yearning for the relationships and experiences I’d hope to have with people in countries I might now never see.

When I first looked through the list of potential re-launch opportunities, I knew I wanted to recommit to one of the international options they had for us even though those were really up in the air and nothing would be set in stone for awhileee. I had spent the first week or so talking with my friends about all the ways we could make that happen. And yet amidst it all there was a lack of peace. I knew I needed to press in and really ask the Lord where He wanted me in this season.

God walked me through a really sweet revelation as he reminded me of a question I had asked Him when we got back to America: “why am I here right now?” & I felt Him speak these words over me – “you are here to love just like you were there to love”

He wants EVERYONE, EVERYWHERE to know that they are loved by Him.

He has consistently reminded me of how He has personally revealed His love to me this year & how His mission for my life is to continue giving that love away. no matter where I am in the world.

He reminded me that “all nations” in the great commission does not exclude my home country. this nation He has me in right now. a nation that is hurting and so very ripe for the gospel.

He reminded me that life is ministry and ministry is life. that whether I’m playing soccer with kids in Zambia, being welcomed into someone’s home in a Balinese village, working out at the gym in Malaysia with my friends, eating dinner with my own family, walking by the homeless person on the street downtown, standing in line at the grocery store… His mission doesn’t change. The method to which we reach out might but His mission is always the same.

Right now, people are hurting big time. this is a time of uncertainty and loss for so many… and yet at the same time for many people all across this country this has been a time of repentance and a time of coming to know and experience the love of Jesus Christ. He is the light in the darkness.

Right now we physically aren’t able to GO to other countries. But we can GO love our neighbor. Right now, He has me placed here in THIS NATION and I am thankful to be here.

So… I am VERY excited to officially announce that I am going to be finishing off this year by serving alongside World Race America. I am currently back in Gainesville, GA & it’s a little surreal to be back here where I was for training camp with C-Squad in October! We have a week of team preparation this next week and then we’ll be launching from here on July 31st to head to New Albany, Indiana where we will be doing ministry for the first couple of weeks.

I’ll be spending the next 4 months traveling in a van with some of my pals from C-Squad, loving on people right here in this country, continuing the race He set out before us! I will keep you all posted with where we are at in the USA and what God is doing through and in our team and the opportunities He invites us into!

Thank you to everyone who has reached out since i’ve been home! Y’all are incredible & i’m thankful for you! Please be praying for my WRA team as we gear up to launch back out again! 🙂

  • The Great Commandment – “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law? Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

  • The Great Commission – …Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
