I have always been drawn to children. There is something so sweet about loving on kids that makes my heart leap for joy. Children are so precious, innocent and joyful. They follow you without question because they put that much trust in you. When we were asked if we wanted to teach English at the nearby school, it was an immediate yes from me.
This little guy wanted to teach me something while everyone else was outside during recess.
From the front cover to the back cover of scripture we see the importance of children in Scripture. God wants us to be more like children; having childlike faith. Matthew 18 says that children are the greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven. To enter in, we must become more like children. I may have been teaching English, but I learned something so much more important.
I hope to find myself smothered & covered in children this year. I hope I never stop learning from them.
Children are God’s love-gift; they are heaven’s generous reward. Psalm 127:3
