So a couple weeks ago we got new teams that we will be spending the next 4 months with! Even though I am SO excited for this new team, I found myself reminiscing on just how much we experienced together. As I began to compile this list, I noticed myself only listing the funny glamorous-y stories. But I don’t want you to think for a second we didn’t walk through the past 4 months without any hard times, confrontations, issues, attitudes and all the other ugly stuff no one talks about because we sure did. Why? Because we are imperfect, all of us. Because we all came from different backgrounds. Because we view things differently. Because we are a group of girls who have spent every moment, waking or sleeping, together since January 4th.
SOOO without further ado, here are some of my personal favorite memories with Young Royalz:
- Listening to Em sing Escape (Pina Colada) ALL the time & even whip out the dance moves before bedtime in Colombia
- Going to the mall in Ecuador every chance we can to get chicken wings & bananas (*mouth watering*)
- Old Town Quito than somehow ending up at the equator & then getting lost on the way home (read more about it here!)
- Playing Dutch Blitz every. single. night. in Ecuador
- Galentines!! <3 Pizza Hut, popcorn, 10 Things I Hate About You & girl talk!
- Hiking Cotopaxi while freezing our toes off & getting lost on the way home
- DISNEY BRACKET CHALLENGE (still rooting for Tangled tho)
- Doubting how intense the downpour was going to be & still going to the mall DRENCHED after being soaked by passing cars
- 32 flavas of that bubblegum 😉
- “Tryna catch me riding UBER”
- Remaking ‘We’re All In This Together’ by HSM
- Learning about the enneagram in Peru
- The BEST cinnamon rolls ever (*mouth watering again*)
- WE CANT STOP BY MILEY CYRUS
- International Church in India… yes.
- BDUBS – need I say more?
- Monopoly Deal ALL the time in India
- Making our final music video <3
Also, all the laughs.
All the tears, happy and sad.
All the hugs.
All the movies.
All the dance parties.
And so so so many more fun, crazy memories that I hope to never forget.
I know now the way each of them work. The way each of them feel loved the best. The way each of them operate. The way they don’t enjoy certain things or the way they overly love certain things. The foods they like and don’t like. Their clothes. And everything else in between.
Young Royalz, you rock & I love you all.
To the new teammates of my former ones, learn and press into them because they are so worth it.
