A month ago today I recieved my acceptance letter into the World Race!
And since then I have been talking to people, handing out fundraising letters, and posting my updated blogs and fundraising letters to facebook like crazy!
And to be honest, for all of the work and effort I have been putting in, I have been a little dissapointed thus far……..until today….
I have been hearing words of encouragement and support from everyone I have talked to……but my fundraising account has remained, virtually, untouched….
I am not complaining about the encouragement, but rather trying to convey my position. I have full confidence that this journey is ordained by God, and that He will provide all of the funds I need.
I dropped off a fundraising letter to my aunt and uncle on Friday, and then went over tonight (sunday) for dinner and to spend some time with them.
Did I mention that people have been saying to me "God will provide you with the money in ways that you will not expect"?
Cause that's just what He is doing………
During my visit my uncle Vytas and aunt Amy were like," Since you came by and dropped off the letter 2 days ago people are just handing us money for you!"
And I was like," WHAT?!?!?! WHO?!?!?!"
People that I would never expect! That's who!!! My aunt's mom, and someone that I am not even directly related to, when told, pulled out $50 and handed it to my aunt, also her sister, again….don't even know if I have ever met her before, immedately gave my aunt $20 for me. How encouraging!!!!! People I don't even know are being touched by my passion and are willing to give. How very loved and supported I feel.
Even more so when my aunt handed me a plastic bag filled with rolled up coins. My cousin Adam, who likes to keep to himself and is very quiet, when told by his mom what I was doing, went into his room and took all of the loose change he had and rolled it up. He went back to his mom and said,"This is a good thing" and handed her $100 in rolled up change!!!!
I started crying on my way home…..how overwhelmed and grateful I am to have received these blessings from the most unexpected of sources. Thank you Adam for believing in what I am doing! Thank you
Philippians 4:19
And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.
