And so the journey begins……

On an 11 hour bus ride no less…..yay fun! Good practice for the months that lie ahead I suppose. Bound for Washington DC on a Megabus that smells like 50+ different bodies (fyi:  on the 2nd level there is the added “heat rises” factor coming into play, so that means  sweaty smelly bodies….yum)
Thought now would be a pretty good time to sum up my very long and emotionally charged departure day…so here we go with a play-by-play.

8:35am: woken up with a faceful of slobbery puppy kisses (I will miss those in crazy amounts)

9:00am: finally drag myself from the gloriousness that is my bed (insert tearful goodbye here, get ready for church in between showering Floyd with tons of hugs and kisses

10:30am: Church….aaaaaahhhhh Freedom Centre…I could not have imagined a more wonderful send off if I had tried, so much love and joy in that place

11:15am: phone call from daddy….there is nothing like receiving a father’s blessing. WOW….pretty sure that is where the waterworks began….it’s amazing how one phone call can make someone’s year

2:00pm: packing, packing, and more packing….this is the product of procrastination….which also almost always ensures that you forget key items….like your camera battery charger

4:30pm: final hangouts with the big broski and his lovely girlfriend Heather….much love

6:15pm: depart home for the last time, final puppy hugs for a while <3

8:00pm: arrive in Buffalo and frantically shop for a camera battery charger

10:00pm: arrive at bus station and carry/drag luggage in

10:03pm: regret not buying an airporter that has wheels

10:20pm: group prayer for an amazing adventure, safe travels, and a number of other things

10:30pm: Hugs, hugs, hugs, and more hugs……Love you momma

10:50pm: board the bus for an 11 hour drive from Buffalo NY to Washington DC

12:03am: present time…I will now endeavour to practice sleeping while sitting up….after all, practice makes perfect

Thank you to everyone that has made this trip possible! For your prayers and support, this is going to be an incredible year and God is going to do so much in and through me…..Have an amazing year!
