Some of you may be wondering why I am going on this mission. Although there have been countless incredibly excited individuals, there has also been many blank stares when I tell people about it and questions such as: “Don’t you think it will be dangerous? Don’t you think you’ll be emotionally torn up? Do you really think you can make a difference in something so big?”
And I say a firm YES to all of those questions. What is occurring in these places is dark and evil, and I know I will be broken for these people. But I feel confident a difference can be made. God is waiting for a generation to rise up and claim what is His. And these beautiful men, women, and children, they are HIS! Setting the captives free may seem like a big task, but last I checked nothing was impossible for the Lord. Maybe God is just waiting for people to stop asking why this is happening and step out and be His hands and His feet to put an end to it.
When I read about this trip I was filled with an incredible excitement. But after a couple of days of praying for His will for me in this trip and feeling an increasing peace, I found myself literally jumping up and down asking Him to let me go. I sensed Him smiling at me and saying “go”.
