Questions: "What shall we eat? What shall we drink? What shall we wear?"

Answer: "…the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well…"

As much as I've tried to avoid it, I have worried so much during these past few months of support-raising. Some of my primary concerns have been about…

  • finding a job
  • meeting funding deadlines
  • giving enough of myself (i.e. my time) to friends and family

I'm still striving to find time to catch up with many of you and others, but God has humbled me in my little faith by reminding me of His faithfulness and unfailing provision. When I began squirming with the anxiety of seeking employment and reaching my funding goals, He provided me with a job (at a physician's office, with good people, flexibility to go to training camp, and a location close to home!) and I have enough pledged donations to meet my September deadline of $3,500!

"…Therefore, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own" (Matthew 6:31-34)

*This is not a call to laziness or ill-preparation. But for the purposes of this post–since it is part of my personality to always plan and think ahead–"do not worry about tomorrow" is good advice for people like me who tend to get a little too preoccupied with the future.

I know I have a few months before my departure date and a lot of work to get done, but I have been blessed with a boost of reassurance that there is no need for me to worry about anything.
Thank you SO much to all of you who have and are continually praying for me and supporting me in any way you can. I have been loved so well by you =).
