This is a Q&A blog. All these questions were asked of me via instagram so here’s all the answers!!!

What’s your favorite song right now?

Belong to you (Enemy Can’t) by Here Be Lions

If you could tell the world one thing about God, what would it be?
Wow. This is a phenomenal question. Also really really hard to answer. Because there’s so much about Him. Man, honestly I don’t know for sure but I think it would be something about His faithfulness. That’s been the one that has shown itself to me over and over again and if He’s faithful everything else falls into place. Faithful people tell the truth so if I trust He’s faithful, I can trust every other promise He’s ever made.

Coolest thing you’ve seen while traveling?
Coolest God thing: seeing a 15 year old bedridden boy healed.
Coolest touristy thing: Lantern festival in Chiang Mai

What do you miss from America?
Right now in this moment, I really miss my pillows. I also miss working, which may seem weird, but just the routine of it and feeling confident in my position. Sometimes in ministry, I feel really unqualified; I never felt like that at work. I ALSO MISS MY CAR, poor guys a wreck, but I miss driving.

How have you seen God provide?
Really in so many ways, but one of the more practical and recent ones: me and a couple other girlies on my team got off the bus because we realized we took the wrong one and we were kinda stranded in the middle of nowhere in a city we didn’t know in Myanmar. And within seconds, a man came up to us, who spoke perfect English and was incredibly kind, and helped us and talked to other drivers (in Burmese) and got a on a ride that took us where we needed to go. Super simple but definitely a God providing moment!

How is He working in Myanmar?
Honestly, the ministry here is amazing. God is using David and Nancy (my AMAZING ministry hosts) in remarkable ways. They have literally built churches and ministries across the entire country. They are building these students up to be pastors and missionaries and evangelists. I’m watching these people become men and women of God. It’s truly amazing.

How did you get involved with this mission team?
The internet!! Always a cliche, but I had a few friends that were involved in it and found out through social media and then started seeing tons of ads for it on my social media and eventually I clicked on one, and the rest was history.

What do you miss the most from home and what’s something you know you’ll miss from the field when you’re back home?
Besides the cliches like my family and my best friends and all my people (because those are definitely the most), the most materialistic thing I miss is sweet tea. I was actually having an emotional day last week because of other things, and started thinking about sweet tea, and embarrassingly enough, CRIED because I missed it so much.
And I’ll miss my team. These girls have become my sisters and when we get home, we will literally be all across the country.

What new face/character of Jesus have you realized since being on the race?
I’ve seen the face of a friend. I knew he was a friend, ya know one that sticks closer than a brother, but I’ve experienced it first hand for the first time. My brothers are my best friends, and when He say He sticks closer than a brother, He wasn’t kidding. Ive seen him fight for me. I’ve felt him listen when I needed an outlet. I’ve felt his arms of love surround me when I cried myself to sleep. He’s been the truest friend to me these last few months. Grateful I finally dig into that and let Him.

How has God helped you with the trip you’re doing?
A better question would be how has He not helped me, because to answer the first question would take hours. He’s the only thing getting me through, because no matter how much a person loves adventure and travel and people and anything else, after a while, it’s just plain hard. But being constantly reminded by the presence of my Father and his never ending grace for me, I can get through just about any day.

What’s up?
I’m currently writing a blog, ya know, the norm.

Who’s your favorite sister?
I feel like this is a trick question…

What’s it like living with someone as HILARIOUS and BEAUTIFUL as Emily?
Eh. Overrated for sure.
HAHAHA jk. Emily is the love of my life and she keeps me laughing daily and she truly is beautiful.

How do y’all decide what to teach the kids?
We’ve taught in both Guatemala and Myanmar and both have looked extremely different. In Guatemala, we taught them very basic need to know things because they were kids.
Myanmar is different, because we are teaching college aged students. We lesson plan every night for the next day and basically we just build off of every day. We teach them a section of grammar every day, a section of listening and checking their comprehension of what they heard, 10 new vocab words, and an activation of things with the Holy Spirit (because these kids are in school to become missionaries, and we got a wealth of knowledge from the staff in Guatemala (thanks God) and it helps them to just hear us talk in English).

Are there any church plants and the like in Myanmar?
Actually yes! This ministry we are working with is a college and an orphanage, but their headmaster is also the pastor of a small church. His ministry over the years is AMAZING and the favor of the Lord is for sure over him and his family and his ministry.

Thanks so much for taking the time to read it!

love you guys!
