Hey guys! My name is Kyleigh Jo White (KJ), and I am a senior at Benton High School in Bossier City, Louisiana who lives off of caffeine and Taco Bell.  My heart is all about missions and serving God.  If I am not at church or in school, you can find me in my room watching Netflix, all while humming the Hawaii 5-0 theme song, and occasionally yelling “Book em Danno” when they catch a criminal. Alright, alright, I’m not going to lie to you.. it’s not occasionally.. it’s actually Every.Single.Time. Oh and yeah..I AM GOING TO BE A WORLD RACER!!!!

Being a world racer means that I am going to take a year off after I graduate to serve, love, and minister to God’s people all across the nations. My team and I are part of Route One which includes the countries Guatemala, Ethiopia, and Thailand. Our main mission is to share the love of Christ with these countries who are in desperate need of a Savior. Although I cannot promise you what each day in the field may look like, I can promise you that Jesus is going to move in extraordinary ways and lives are going to be forever changed. I have always felt God call and draw me to missions and although high school is a mission field within itself, I cannot wait to start this new journey next September of 2019.

What is the World Race Gap Year? The world race gap year is a mission trip through an organization called Adventures in Missions. This organization sends young adults all across the nations to share the love of Christ. I am honored to be apart of an organization whose focus is on furthering God’s kingdom.

How can you help me? Well, first and foremost, I really want y’all to pray!  Pray not only for me, but also pray for my mother because, guys, she may stress eat all the nuggets at Chick-Fil-A while I am gone.. her words, not mine!! Pray for my team and pray for my squad. Pray for the people in these countries and that God would use us in mighty ways. Pray for safety, good health, and that God’s light will shine and break through walls like never before. Please, please pray!  Another way you can help is through donations. The cost of this mission trip is $16,600 dollars. This will help to cover my transportation, meals, and housing. There is a “DONATE” box at the top of my blog, and all you have to do is click on it and fill out your information.  I will be eternally grateful for each and every prayer and donation!
