4 days. I leave Louisiana in 4 days. And let me just say these past couple days have had me feeling like quite the mess. In fact in the season of transparency, my emotions have been all at out of wack, I’m not even close to being done with packing, my friends are all in college, goodbyes are really weird, I’m not actually sure if I know what I’m doing, I’ve definitely looked like somebody ran me over for the past week and if we are just being real here- Im pretty sure only one of my legs is shaved. I don’t even know how that happened but yeah, rock on. Needless to say these past couple days I’ve felt like quite the train wreck and super unprepared for this next chapter that I’m about to embark on.
BUT today I was pumping gas and it only cost me $20.17!! BLESSINGS. haha. But it was during that time when I really felt like God was saying, “see it’s all gonna be alright.” Now my gas being 20 bucks is a little thing, but sometimes God really shows out in the little things. You see these past couple weeks have been crazy and my life definitely has not been together. But THANK GOD! God doesn’t ask us to be perfect people- hallelujah, amen. Truth be told, He doesn’t even ask us to have it all together. In fact, He tells us to give our messes to Him. He tells us not to worry about tomorrow because He holds the future. And when you surrender “your plans” to the one who holds tomorrow that’s when some really cool stuff goes down. Because you see- we serve a God who will take our plans and trade them for His plans which will ultimately be better then anything we could’ve thought of for ourselves.
All God asks us to do during this time of transition is to trust Him, serve Him, love Him, and most importantly love His people.
So I think it’s safe to say it’s ok to not have it all together. And it’s definitely okay to not know everything He has planned for you right at this moment, because honestly- if you knew the whole plan for your life , that would probably ruin the fun a little bit. So my advice to you and honestly to myself is to chill, take a breather and find peace in the one who has it all under control.
Because luckily you serve a God who does have it all together and your struggles got nothing on Him.
Until next time,
KJ
