Prostitutes. The Outcast. Transgenders. Homosexuals. Alcoholics. Drug addicts. Murderers. Rapists.
Jesus loves them all.
These past couple of months, I’ve been asking Jesus to show me what he sees, teach me to love like he loves, serve like he serves, follow where he leads, hear what he hears. Often times, I found myself judging people who I thought were below me. I got so wrapped up with the lie that I was better. That I deserved more. I use to look at these people with such judgement and I wanted nothing to do with them. Here is the honest truth– If we are going to live like Jesus, we are going to have to love his people. We are going to have to serve the ones we don’t want to serve.
YOU THINK JESUS WANTED TO DIE ON THAT CROSS!??! NO. NO HE DID NOT. (My mom says this all the time and it for real gets me, lol) But he did it anyways. Nobody said it was going to be easy, in fact some days it is going to be real hard. But it will always be worth it. Like for real. How crazy would it be if we changed our perspective and saw people how Jesus saw them. Broken and in need of a Savior. It is not our job to judge them, but it is our job to love them. Who are we to think that we are better then these people. Who are we to think that we deserve some big great trophy and a free pass in life. When the truth of the matter is- we are all sinners and we all deserve death.
BUT GUESS WHAT! I serve a God who SLAPPED DEATH IN THE FACE. I serve a God who BROKE PRISON DOORS. I serve a God who knows every single thing that I have done, yet he still WANTS me. He still LOVES me. And guess what.. He still WANTS you and he still LOVES you. So if you are reading this and guys somebody needs to here this because as I am laying in bed at this moment, the Lord is speaking and I had no intentions of adding this but this is for somebody. So whoever this is for, listen to me for one second. IT IS NOT OVER FOR YOU YET. This is your chance. You are not promised tomorrow. Come back to the one who chose you, despite all your imperfections. Come back to the one, who knew you were gonna mess up but died for you anyways. He is here for you and he will not leave you. You are not alone. RIGHT NOW, PRAY AND REPENT AND SERVE HIM AND DO NOT LOOK BACK.
Man. Haha. Jesus is wild. This is my overall- instead of judging start loving. And whoever those last couple of sentences were for- I am truly amazed. Jesus is about to for real change your life. Bossier City is about to be shaken up for Jesus and I cannot wait. We do our part and he will certainly do his.
