The other day as my team and I walked around town with a few of college students we teach, a girl from the group caught my eye. I liked her hair, it’s a lot like mine but better styled XD, so i decided to go talk to her. As we got to know each other the conversation went to our parents and I shared a bit of my testimony concerning my dad and I’s relationship with her to which she replied with teary eyes, “me too”. It wasn’t until that moment that it wasn’t her hair that drew me to her, but the Holy Spirit stirring me to go to her so we could share this  beautiful moment of complete empathy and understanding of one another about this. Without a doubt this is the quickest I’ve ever been so vulnerable with someone and it really made all the difference. Joanna and I now have this connection that we wouldn’t have made without sharing such a wounded part of our testimonies with each other and it’s beautiful. Praise God for using the hard parts of our stories for His glory!!
