Beginning month SIX of the Race my team and I arrived in Pacasmayo, Peru a few days ago and soon after arriving I had the priviledge to meet two sweet little boys that live on the minsitry site. They are both so incredibly friendly and the first thing they asked me to do was join them kn a game of baseball XD I haven’t played much baseball in my lifetime but it was So entertaining and we just took turns quizzing each other and learning about one another. As it turns out, they are both Very interested in learning English, so that’s what I spent some time doing with them the next day. With them around our living space, I find it so much easier to serve more often with my freetime than I even expect or plan to. For example I’ll walk outside planning to read and pray or do a devotional when they see me and ask me to join them in whatever it is they’re doing, or simply spark conversation with me and every time I’ve found it more enjoyable because although I’m not doing what I thought I needed in order to refill, the Lord refills me in a new and interesting way every time through those two boys. The biggest thing I’ve learned yet is that the Father isn’t just creative with the physical, ie. Creation haha, but He’s creative in how He pursues, teaches, and rejuvenates me. It’s beautiful and intimate and crazy appreciated at this point, because at times it can become too easy to fall into a dogmatic mindset of needing to do certain things in order to feel and know Him more; yet He uses so many, if not all things as conduits to His heart. Praise the Lord for His unsearchable yet immensely pleasurable ways of loving us!!!
