Once upon a time there was this world traveling Jesus follower with an Instagram. Then, one day she was locked out of Instagram. Suddenly she became this world traveling Jesus follower without an Instagram.

At first she thought it was bad luck. Then she learned it was actually God’s graciousness.

Social media is a tricky thing. While it can be a source of encouragement and connection, it can also be an avenue to mistaken identity. And sometimes when you’re following Jesus around the world, it’s easy for social media to become a source of showing off self in hopes of receiving feel-good feedback rather than a platform for showing off Jesus to encourage others.

So, if I still had an Instagram here are pictures I’d post. Not for likes or feel-good feedback. Just to show off my crazy, beautiful God.

The first few are from Indonesia, which wasn’t originally on our route. The Lord put it on my team’s route within a matter of five days, through simple visa issues. Every plan we made the Lord changed until we connected with a high school in Bandung. It’s crazy the things the Lord will use to get you to the people He wants to love on.

The next two are from Malaysia where my squadmate Matthew was baptized!!! And my squadmate Melo and I came together to learn from our alumni leadership, as well as pray into the next 6 months of Fusion 3.

The last few are from our first couple of days in Thailand recapping, reflecting on, and wrapping up what we’re learning before stepping out into this next season. What a crazy, beautiful God we have.
