Hello everyone, during this whole process I’ve been worried about fundraising and how I would be able to raise the amount that I need to be able to go on this trip.
There was a point when I really thought about backing out because it was a lot of money, money that I had no idea where it would be coming from. I started doubting what I was really supposed to be doing.
However, when in I was in church on Sunday, my pastor was preaching about “Doubting Thomas.” How he wouldn’t believe that Jesus was risen unless he was able to put his fingers where the nails were placed. Hearing this sermon really hit me hard, so when I got home I grabbed my Bible and looked up verses about “doubting.”
I looked up Proverbs 3:5-8 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will straight your paths. Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord, and turn away from evil. It will be healing to your flesh and refreshment to your bones.“
When I was younger, I had to memorize that verse in Sunday School. I still have no idea where the money will come from, but I trust that God has a plan for me. If you could pray that I have some way to raise the money I need, or feel called to donate some amount of money, I would be ever so grateful. I cannot do this on my own.
