The Father has given me a word for the past week that He has been wanting me to work on. That word would be patience. Patience is not only about waiting but waiting with a positive attitude and a Christ like heart. This word may be so simple, but this is what the Lord is teaching me.

My family team has made it a goal to focus on one scripture a week from a topic or word we chose. Patience was the word. In my quite time I have been reading Ephesians. One specific morning in my quite time I read Ephesians chapter 4. In chapter 4 verse 2 it speaks of with all humility and gentleness with patience bearing with one another in love. Shortly after I read this a couple times my friend sends me this same verse in a text message. At this point I was definitely aware that the Lord was speaking to me. In these circumstances I find myself being tested and each time I go back to the verse.  Not only has God tested me in situations with my own patience, but also with the patience of others. This patience just like the scripture tells us requires us to humble ourselves before others, and to give up our desires and our own will. The fruit of this obedience is gentleness and love towards one another.

My prayer is that you would join in with me and practice this patience and allow this patience to have its perfect work that we would lacking nothing.
