Happy Holidays everyone!
I hope you all had a very blessed Thanksgiving spent with friends and family. Christmas time is upon us and I am very eager for the most wonderful time of the year! I have always loved Christmas because of the decorations, lights, snow (although we don’t get hardly any snow here in Georgetown, TX; it is December 15 and this past week the temperatures have been in the 80s!), Christmas trees, family, Jesus, just about anything that has to do with the holidays!
Christmas time means the end of the year. The end of the year means that tax season is almost here. Not fun. But did you know that any donation made to my World Race trip is tax deductible? Just go to the orange “Support Me!” button and follow the instructions. You can make a one time donation or monthly donations! I am currently 42% funded for my trip and would love to be half way by the end of the year. It is a big goal, but I know with the help of God and the help of you, it is definitely possible.
If 84 of you donated $100 each, I would be COMPLETELY fundraised. Like 100% funded. Only 84 of you. Please consider.
I am launching two new fundraisers today! Woohoo!
The first fundraiser is called ADOPT-A-BOX.
Adopt-a-Box is a social media fundraiser in which you choose a number and donate that amount. For example, if you chose box 19, you would donate $19. If you chose box 78, you would donate $78. Every time a box is “adopted,” it will be crossed off. I will post picture updates regularly. To donate for this fundraiser, you can do it either online or in person. In order to get the tax information, please donate through my blog.
The second fundraiser I am doing is selling THREADS OF HOPE bracelets.
Threads of Hope is a nonprofit group in which families in the Philippines make and sell these bracelets. Each bracelet is hand-made by a sweet person to help them have a more sustainable life. Half of the money made selling these bracelets will go back to these great people and half will go towards my trip.
Pricing:
Round bracelets- 1 for $2 OR 3 for $5
Flat bracelets- 1 for $4 OR 3 for $10
I am excited to do this fundraiser because all the money I make benefits two groups: me and Threads of Hope.
These bracelets make GREAT Christmas gifts, birthday presents, stocking stuffers, etc.
I am so excited how far I have come financially, mentally, and spiritually through this fundraising process and I could not have done it without the help of everyone who has prayed for me. This is a season of giving and I encourage you, if you feel called, to give to my trip or one of these fundraisers. I pray for each of you reading this and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for encouraging me and believing me through this process.
