Here’s a few fun facts of my life I haven’t blogged about!

  • At times I can’t flush toilet paper down the toilet and therefore optimally have a trashcan; however, seeing a large heap of TP in the corner would not be unheard of.
  • I got to go see some Mayan ruins for less than $2 and also have visited Atitlan Lake.
  •  We are currently wandering throughout Nicaragua this month listening to where the Lord would take us to find new ministry sites for future racers.
  • I have been offered cocaine and marajuana numerous times but have refused all.
  • I stayed in a tree house overlooking Nicaragua and howling monkeys for $5.
  • I have seen a total of 5 volcanoes since being in Central America.
  • During independence day Guatemalans will run through the streets with torches while others stand on the side of the road casting water on them to put out their flame. The flame spreads throughout all of Guatemala!
  • I have been challenged to grow more like Christ and am enjoying being in his presence.
  • We can take Tuktuk’s to the town square in which catholisism is largely displayed.
  • Often times at the senior daycare the elderly mix the local language of quiche with spanish so it can be incredibly difficult to follow and converse as they don’t speak the mexican english.
  • A choclolate donut is only 30 cents and a ride into town on a tuktuk only costs 80 cents.
  • At times I have to walk roughly a mile for good Internet at a café or pollo campero!
  • Our lodging budget is $6/person a day and food is $3.77/person a day.Thank goodness I like rice and beans!

Thank you to everyone who has kept me in their prayers as they are noticed. A more serious blog to come but in the mean time.

“Dios les bendiga!” (God bless yall)

Everybody in our senior day care home after a soccer game! The gringo’s (White Americans) won.
